    Default List view labels

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with a recent upgrade to 4.5.0C

After upgrading I lost my custom fields, this was not a big problem as there are not that many, As I was re-applying them I found that the label would not show up in the List view for Leads, but it was fine in Detail and Edit Views.

Furthermore when I edit the leads list view and have my two custom fields in the Available colum the name shows up fine, after I drag them over to either the Advanced or Default colums and click Save & Publish the labels dissapear.

I thought this could be fixed by running the repair custom fields function, but that tells me that the fields are missing, drops them from the DB and reinserts them, deleting all the Data, and the no label problem still occurs after that too.

I hope someone can help or point me in the right direction.

    Thanks.

I have something similar happening. the upgrade went OK and my custom fields went over OK.

However, in account list view design in the studio, these custom fields are in the selectable fields but their values are blank (just the internal custom field names are there). Also, when published, the saved search tools have empty lines in the field selectors where these should be.

Also, there is an error when trying to generate the list view where the column title shoul be. Instead of the column title is the error:
Warning: Smarty error: sugar_translate: missing 'label' parameter in /var/www/sugarcrm45/include/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

Looks like a bug - I'll raise it.

    the solution is:
    Edit custom/modules/<MODULENAME>/metadata/listviewdefs.php.

For the given custom field, you'll see the label has been set to NULL. replace this with the proper custom label definition as given in: custom/modules/<MODULENAME>/language/en_us.lang.php
