location for modified subpaneldefs

Hello!

I changed a few details in the subpaneldefs for Projects
(in DetailView of a Project in order to quick-create Contacts, Accounts and ProjectTasks)

Where exactly in the custom folder do I have to put my subpaneldefs.php file to be upgrade-safe?
(I am using 5.2.0)

For what I have understood about this : you can place custom files in the /custom directory so they will be merged with the source or auto-generated files.

So you should save in ./custom/modules/Projects/metadata/...
