We set up SugarCRM Community Edition 5.5.2 (the free version) a couple of weeks ago and are currently populating it with account and contact information.
We have the following issue with users of a Regular User Type.
Ideally general employees would be set up as regular users. Regular users have a role applied which grants them access to all parts of the system.
However, under this set up, if you are logged in as a regular user, there seems to be an issue with the display of employee's names, contact's names, and user's names.
For example, if you log in as EG (a regular user) and go to Sales > Contacts you see:
Name
EG Head of Marketing
EG Head of Digital Marketing
EG Digital Marketing Manager
If you log in as admin user you correctly see:
Name
Matt Robertson Head of Marketing
Louise Mukkich Head of Digital Marketing
Daniel Reckfird Digital Marketing Manager
If you click EG it will take you through to the correct contact. It seems the functionality is correct but the display of the name is incorrect.
The same behaviour applies when you attempt to set an "assigned to" user in user pop-up that gets launched, and when you view employees.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this?
