Logic hook for after select

Is there a logic hook or a way i can fire some code after a object is selected from the case type dropdown list?
I have a drop down list for type and subject in cases, but when i select a type i want the subject dropdown list to only display objects related to that type. i have created a subject and type table in the database where i am reading these from.

What you are looking for is dependant dropdowns which can not be done by standard SugarCRM.

There is a module called Developer Toolkin in sugarforge that does this, courtesy of andopes.
