    Post logo

I have just installed Sugar 6CE on a shared host. when i upload the logo, it shows a placeholder not the logo. I think its due to permissions. is there a list for how to set permissions?

    Thank you!

UI problems of that type are usually corrected by one (or both) of the following commands:

    chmod -R 755 <sugar>/cache

    chown -R apache.apache <sugar>/cache

I am having the same issue with changing the logo on a brand new Sugar CRM Community Edition installation.

Does changing the entire /cache directory and included files to 755 present any kind of security vulnerability?

Where do I find the most up to date information about securing my installation of 6.0.2? I've found a number of differing answers to this question but I am confused about which is specific to my installation version.

    Hi,
755 is safe due to below configuration setting for users:
    1. owner had full access
    2. others having access of only read and execute.

so you can set 755 with full comfirt.
Almost available at skype or gtalk at ashdwi1.

    Thanks for the fast reply!

Ok, I understand about those permissions now.

However, I am still not able to change the logo. I actually created a separate post with more detail. Perhaps we should move the discussion to that?

    Thanks again ashdwi1
