Logo Customization Fails

Greetings,

I have a brand new installation of SugarCRM Community Edition installed on a remote web host (LunarPages). Everything seems to be working alright (so far) except that I am unable to change the logo at the top left of the window. There are no error messages to report and the default SugarCRM logo is gone. When I try to change the logo, I very briefly see a moving icon next to the browse button, then nothing. I now have a link that says "Company Logo" that returns me to the home page. Our logo is 212 x 40 pixels and I've tried uploading smaller to see if that makes any difference and it doesn't.

I changed permissions on /cache and all subfolders and files to 755, this did not help. I also have questions about the best way to secure the SugarCRM installation but will address that in another post.

Hi,
try to change permission of
custom/themes/default/images/company_logo.png

you can change this file permission to 777 only to see changes .
it is sure that this is only permission problem here.
you can change permission after seeing result.

I changed permissions to 755 on the entire /custom folder and recursed into all subfolders and files. Now the logo shows up fine.

Are there any other permission changes that should be made do you think? Or shall I address them as they come up?

I faced the exact same problem - I followed Tranquilty's steps with equal success!
