Long SugarCRM loading time

Hi,

I have just installed Sugar Community edition on www.awardspace.com, which is my hosting provider.
I use MySQL 5.1, the database is almost empty at the time.

I am experiencing really slow performance. Pages load really slow.

The support at Awardspace said that they had tested their servers and their performance is OK.
And that the big delay with the crm.pozitivc.net site is due to the ineffective way the database works.

On the internet I found the solution:

I was not able to implement this in the config.php.

Could somebody please instruct me, how to do that?

If the database is almost empty, chances are that these modifications wouldn't help you much, if at all.

There is no reason why it should be slow with an almost empty database, other than web server/mysql/connectivity issues.

You need to do some further investigation. First of all, is the delay in the response time from the server or rendering? The response time is visible at the bottom of each page.

Secondly, are there certain actions that seem to take longer than others?

Have you tried the "log slow queries" option to see where you might be experiencing bottlenecks?

We experinced the same issues. Once I set the INNODB settings in my.ini we noticed a conciderable difference.
Also using monyog I was able to fix some errors. On thing I noticed is slow quieries when modules loaded. So in the searches I made them default to a value in the search. This made a big difference since I was no longer indexing the entire table. I dont know if this makes since but if you want I can explain in detail exactly what was done.

For example, I do not have a my.ini file. How do I create it...? And so on.
