Default Looking for Case # variable for email template

    Hi all,

I'm configuring SugarCRM 5.5.0 to be able to automate customer support.

So basically I created the inbound and outgoing email settings, and the corresponding templates.
In this way, a user sending an email to the email account defined in sugar will receive
    an email automatically when:

    a) a case is created
    b) a case is followed up.

Everything works great but I'd like to embed the case# in the email template used by sugar, but I cannot seem to find it. If there's code to modify I'll be glad to do it. I'm just new to this app

    Thanks in advance,

    Marty

PS: I'd also love to get the list of all variables available in Email templates so that I can add more dynamic content to it. I have not been able to find them in the Wiki or Docs :-(

Default Re: Looking for Case # variable for email template

Here's an update, sorry for my newbyness:

I have the variables below defined in the Email template for "Create Case Reply Template": for Inbound Email setup:

    $case_number $contact_account_id $account_parent_id

However when I get the email once I submit an email to the configured account, the email displays the string of the variables (as shown above), it seems that there's parsing is *not* configured properly?

    My Sugarcrm version is 5.5.0.

    Thanks for your help!

    Marty
