Looking for reports

Maybe I am just missing it, but it seems to me that SugarCRM is missing some basic reporting features. I am on the Open Source Sugar Version 4.5.1d (Build 1273) and I am trying to find a report of my sales staff activity for a given period of time. Who they are calling on, what they have done, etc.

Is this something that is not available in the Open Source?

If not, how do I turn it on? If so, are there add ons that I can add to get this functionality or do I have to purchase the non-Open Source version and if so, which one?

I am a new user too.and I looked into reports as you did. However reports for open source are currently not available however you can use Jasper Reports ( I am still trying to figure out how to configure it) with open source. You can download it from sugarExchange under Reports.

Kind members of this forums have adviced me on how to set it up and I am working on it ..I will update this as soon as I figure it out. But you sure can start by followig their expert advice in this forum.

To answer the first post in this thread, Sugar Professional has a robust reporting tool. You can find out more information about it by following this link.

For Open Source users, ZuckerReports and Jasper Reports are two good options. ZuckerReports is the most popular reporting tool on the Forge, while Jasper Reports is also popular.
