Default Lost admin user Administrator priviledges

Well here's a stupid problem to have.

I seem to have lost the administrator priveledge for my admin user.

I can't figure out where I lost it and worst of all, I seem to have no way back.

Can one of you higher functioning types give me some guidance on this dilema.

We're on Surag 4.5 open source
    OSX G5 Xserve
Built our Sugar 4.5 and moved our Sugar 4.2 data over
Performed all the repairs noted after migration
Last repair was the "Repair Database - Execute"

    Thanks much!

Do you have access to the MySQL server?

If so, you might be able to import an "Admin" user record from another install or correct it through the backend by resetting the is_admin flag.

    Thanks for the reply Angel,

I have all the access anyone could want.

Do you have some time to walk me through resetting this flag?

I'm needing some real baseline description here. I've edited plenty of text files in my day but I'm a MySQL newbie.

    thank you again.

Assuming you have access to a computer with Windows on it, download the MySQL database manager SQLYog. It is a free utility and you can get it from www.webyog.com

Use that connect to your MySQL server. Open the Sugar database and select the Users table. Change the value of the "is_admin" column to "1" for the row corresponding to the user that should be the administrator and you know you can use to successfully login.

Save the changes and login as that user.
