Mail Setup Problem

I saw variations of this in the forums. So if this is a duplicate, I apologize.

I'm trying to setup a campaign. It tells me I have no bounce back account configured. I go to mail setup, and SMTP is setup, I try to setup a POP or Imap connection.

With each i get:

Fatal error: Class 'PEAR' not found in /home/www/sugarcrm.genesis2010.com/include/Pear/Crypt_Blowfish/Blowfish.php on line 196

Hello,

You need to set up an Inbound Email. This should be done in the Admin section under 'Inbound Email' and create the 'Possible Action' as 'Bounce Handling'.

I cannot tell from your post whether or not you got the error message from this section, or if you tried to create this in the Emails module. Maybe this was your problem.

Inbound Email cannot function without the IMAP c-client libraries enabled/compiled with the PHP module. Please contact your administrator to resolve this issue.

But I'm not trying to use IMAP

The PHP IMAP library contains the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP functionality. Without this php library installed on your server, you cannot use any of the Sugar Email functionality.

Thanks for the response. I did add the extension to the php.ini just before I saw your reply. It worked. Now playing around with campaigns.

Gotta comment. I'm pretty pleased with the way sugarcrm is working. I tried to parallel install ....... I could not get their latest version to work. I finally gave up. Sugar installed easily. (No I'm not getting paid to say this). Anyways, well done folks.

Hi Dave,

I have the same error as you when i click on Test Setting after configuring the Email Setup. I tried uncommenting the line extension=php_imap.dll and closed the browser and re-login to my sugar account. It still prompt the same error. Any help would be great. I know nuts about PHP.
