make "My Account" page read only

Hi All, I'm new to SugarCRM so the question might have been posted before but thanks in advance for your help.

I installed CE5.0 and have a couple questions on security & access control:

How can I control access to pages in the System Links (My Account, Employees, Training, etc.), specifically:

1. Employees are able to EDIT or DUPLICATE their own employee record, how do we prevent this?

2. How to make the whole "My Account" page read only?

i think it requires small sugarcrm customization ( code change ).

See some other posts for this. The best way is to set up the roles for those employees.

Also, the customization is actually very easy to drop the .js that puts the link to the users.

I looked thru the Users module files and was able to hide the JavaScript as you suggested. Thanks again!
