Making a module that pulls Leads with a specific field?

I'm new to SugarCRM and the forums, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm going to pick up the book Sugar for Dummies, but until it gets here I figure I'll ask for some help from the pros.

I have 60k leads that all have a custom field in them (field_CMG). Now, each one is assigned the field based on their location, so for instance, in Texas we have 3 groups called Texas1, Texas2, etc...

So I would like to create a module that has a tab at the top that says Texas1 for instance and it will only display the leads that have that displayed in my custom field.

So, any help or guidance would be great.

Also, just another note, I have the field searchable in the regular Leads module, but you would have to type in "Texas1" to pull up just those records, is there a way to make it a drop down list to choose from?

Either one of these options would work for me.

In case anyone is wondering how to do it, you need to create a drop down list with your defined values. Then make sue it's not "required" and is "importable". Then when you go to Leads -> Import define the field.

Add the field to the "Quick Search" layout, select the field you want and click search to narrow it out.

Hope this helps somebody out
