    Default Manually adding contact details?

    Hey,

Right, I loaded SugarCRM community edition 5.51 onto my web server a couple of months ago, I'm only just getting around to setting it up etc and if these questions sound stupid, then please forgive me!

    1) Firstly, is there a way I can import a lot of names, addresses etc as contacts/customers without having to manually typing them all in? Almost of all of my sales are done through paypal and I'm not sure if there's an easy way to integrate the two?

    2) Secondly, is there a tool I can use whereby if someone submits their email address via a 'sign up to our mailing list today!'-type text box on our website that it can be automatically added to Sugar? I'm just getting my head around the possibilities with campaigns etc and a tool like this would be enormously helpful.

Anyway, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Sugar looks like a great tool and I can't wait to start utilising it! If anyone needs any more info from me, please feel free to ask!

    Adam.

Yes, you can import bunch of data into SugarCRM using import feature.

is there a tool I can use whereby if someone submits their email address via a 'sign up to our mailing list today!'-type text box on our website that it can be automatically added to Sugar?
No, but you can create one if you are familiar with PHP and REST/SOAP api coding.

I'm not unfortunately, I'll have a scour of the internet and see if I can think of a way around it.

    Thanks for your help!
