Mapping Knowledge base with Case

Hello guys,

I need to map the Knowledge base with Case

Steps i did (Version 6.1.2)
1. Created a relate field in case
2. ensured the Pop up in Knowledge base module
3. But while searching the KB in the case with Relate field, nothing displayed

Is there KB related to user login or i m missing something else?

This is design issue and a misconception

The design flaw is that the Knowledge base predates the new MVC structure of SugarCRM and was never updated, so it is not fuilly integrated into Studio meaning that you cannot add relationships to it. I don't know how hard it would be to bring the Detail view into MVC but it doesnt look too hard.

The misconception is that a 'Relate Field' is a relationship, it is not. It shows data ONLY in the module in which it is included, not on the module that it is pointed at.
