Mass Delete of contacts History records

Hello,

We have just started using Sugar a couple of days ago, we have created a group email for our general box but we are getting too much garbage that is piling in the group mail.

In our previous CRM we had the possibility of giving the the email module a list of emails which were known to us as spammers (a black list) and the CRM´s email module would erase them from the server without even importing the email, in Sugar CE we have been unable to find a way to give the program a white/black list that would allow us to get rid of the most annoying spammers. Any suggestions?

It occurred to me that in the absence of such an option a way to do this would be to create a contact with all the black list email addresses in it and use it to collect all spams in a single history tab which I could then select and erase from the emails from the contact´s detail module, yet, to erase the each record it is necessary to select the emails to delete/erase one at a time which makes this impractical, for a couple of hundred emails a day.

Hello Jbarzuna,

you should be able to mass delete these emails. Go to the Email module, and then from the shortcuts menu on the left hand side, click on 'All Emails'. This should bring you to a listview of all the emails in the system, where you can search and filter to only display those emails that are linked to a specific Contact and then mass delete them.

I really appreciate your response. I tried the filter but still does not perform as we expect

For the filter to pick up the emails they have to be assigned to a contact, the mere fact that the email is listed under the contact´s record does the trick of displaying in the history subpanel of that contact the emails that were sent by that email address, however, the filter does not capture an email from that address unless the email is assigned to the contact and the mere fact of adding the email address to the contact´s list of email addresses does not generate the assignment, thus the filter is not usable for this purpose, that is, if we have to select the emails to assign them to the contact to later filter them out for deletion we might as well delete them the first time we do the selection, we are looking for a way to not even have to waste any time with this emails beyond the time to add the address to this special contact´s list of addresses and the way to filter out and delete every day all undesired emails.

Any further suggestions????

I don't have All Emails option in my mail module.

Using SugarCE 5.5.4. Was this removed? I still have it on SugarCE 5.5.0
