Mass Update won't work!

Hello all,

I greatly appreciate the SugarCRM community as you all have come to my aide numerous times in the past, now unfortunately i am stuck again and require some assistance.

In the LEAD "LIST VIEW" i am attempting to perform a "MASS UPDATE" of a pool of selected leads; i am trying to update the "LEAD SOURCE"; when i select the leads and then select the appropriate lead source, i then press the mass update button and the lead source is not updated. The page refreshes after the mass update button is pressed, but no changes display after that.

I have used the mass update function before to update the "ASSIGNED TO" for a pool of leads and that worked fine. If i were to go into the lead EDIT VIEW for each individual lead and select the LEAD SOURCE it would save the change correctly, but for some odd reason it won't make the change for MASS UPDATE.

Anyone else experience this or know how to remedy it?

Check out this bug I had submitted. It may be the same one:

Supposedly they fixed it in 4.2.1b, which I haven't confirmed yet.

What ended up being the fix for this bug? I saw your originally posted bug report, then i see your post thanking for the quick fix but i dont see the fix?!

Still experiencing this problem and unfortunately Ed's bug report doesn't provide any usefull information as to a solution. Any help at all at this point would be GREATLY appreciated.

To Recap:

I am attempting to mass update the field "LEAD SOURCE" in the LEAD LIST VIEW screen, i check off all of the appropriate check boxes for the accounts i wish to update, then i select the appropriate LEAD SOURCE option for the mass update frame, then i select the button "UPDATE". The screen refreshes, but unfortunately, the LEAD SOURCE field for the selected leads has not changed.

However, if i enter a lead individually and update the LEAD SOURCE, it will display the updated LEAD SOURCE for that account while viewing in the LIST VIEW.

How can i fix this situation, MASS UPDATE seems to work for ASSIGNED TO: USER and everything else, except LEAD SOURCE.

I can not reproduce the issue with my Sugar 4.2.1b.

Have you customized the lead module before?

No, this is my first time customizing the lead module, but all i did was add more fields, i didnt change or get rid of any of the exisiting fields, matter of fact LEAD SOURCE is an original SUGARCRM field, all i did to it was add a few more options to it's dropdown box.
