    Default Meeting Alerts by email

    Is it possible to get Meeting Alerts/Reminders sent to the user by email?

    I'm using Sugar CE Version 5.1.0b (Build 4905) on a LAMP host

    What I'd like to achieve is for the user to be notified by email that a meeting is due in case they're not logged into Sugar at the time.

    Thanks.

    Hi Roobarb

    You can do the following:
    1. create a custom field into Meetings (reminder_time). Would be filled in with the time in minutes/hours;
    2. create a scheduled task to run frequently which would send an email to the assigned user of a reminder meeting. You my create an Email Template to be used for the email to send to recipient.

    Let us know if you need additional help.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Andopes,

    Thanks for your reply.

    Presumably, I'd need a script to call in the scheduler, any idea of what I would need to code in this?
    Could I hook into the routine that generates the pop up alert that a user would normally see when they're logged in?

    Thanks.
