Meeting invitation email wrong link format displayed

I am using SugarCRM Open Source version 4.50f
Linux Centos 4.4

When we create a new Meeting and use the Send Invites feature, the emails are sent as text/plain with content like this:

Accept this meeting:
<http://mysugarsite/acceptDecline.php?lots_of_parameters>

Tentatively Accept this meeting
<http://mysugarsite/acceptDecline.php?lots_of_parameters>

Decline this meeting
<http://mysugarsite/acceptDecline.php?lots_of_parameters>

When viewed in Outlook or Thunderbird email clients the links are clickable. When viewed in SugarCRM they are not only un-clickable, the '<http:/' portion is stripped off such that it looks like this:

/mysugarsite/acceptDecline.php?lots_of_parameters>

Is there some setting I have missed or toggled in the wrong way?

The easiest way to stop this is to tell Sugar to stop converting the format of URLs, this can be done my simply changing this._def("convert_urls", true); in tiny_mce.js to this._def("convert_urls", false);
