    Default meeting request url config.php

    Hello,

I have looked around this forum but can't find the answer to this, so here I go...

Meeting Request E-mail links look like:
    "/subdomain.domain.com/crm/index.php?<garble...>"

This is obviously incorrect (http:/ missing), so I checked the host_name and site_url variables in the config.php file, which seem to be correct:

    'site_url' => 'http://subdomain.domain.com/crm'
    'host_name' => 'subdomain.domain.com'

    Any thoughts?

    Kind regards,

    Sander van Hooft

    What is happening?

When you invite a User/Contact to a meeting the URL's in the email are wrong????

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that is the case, "http:/" is missing, but the config.php seems correct to me...

Could to copy in the entire email message here so we can see it. What version of SugarCRM you using? Have you made any custom changes to it?

    Thanks for the help.

    Sugar Version: 5.2.0.j

I have made some slight modifications using the Module Builder/Studio (added an additional dropdown to Accounts, a simple text field to the contacts module).

The companies' policies prohibit me to display the E-mail fully here, so I've replaced some parameters with <...> (this is not the problem in the E-mail). The links seem ok except for the missing "http:/" prefix...

    To: <User>,
<User> has invited you to a Call
    Subject: <Subject>
    Status: Planned
    Start Date: 01/06/2010 14:00 (GMT1)
    Duration: 1h, 0m
    Description: <Description>

    Accept this call:
    /<subdomain>.<domain>.com/crm/index.php?entryPoint=acceptDecline&module=Calls&us er_id=<some_garbled_user_id>&record=<some_garbled_ record_id>accept_status=accept>

    Tentatively Accept this call
    /<subdomain>.<domain>.com/crm/index.php?entryPoint=acceptDecline&module=Calls&us er_id=<some_garbled_user_id>&record=<some_garbled_ record_id>accept_status=tentative>

    Decline this call
    /<subdomain>.<domain>.com/crm/index.php?entryPoint=acceptDecline&module=Calls&us er_id=<some_garbled_user_id>&record=<some_garbled_ record_id>accept_status=decline>
    Kind regards,

I've also received some complaints that the meeting request E-mail is received twice. Maybe it's connected?

    Kind regards,

Oh my, I'm a sleepy head.... Seems to be that the E-mail is only displayed wrong in SugarCRM itself - and not in external mail clients like GMail. Maybe it has something to do with the Email processing (store full/raw source for example)?

    Kind regards,

Question Re: meeting request url config.php

I still haven't been able to solve this, any help would be appreciated!

    In short:
    1. SugarCRM sends out meeting invitations
    2. Users receive it and when viewed in external E-mail client (GMail), the accept/decline/tentative links are ok, but when opened inside SugarCRM, the links break because the http:/ prefix disappears...

Using the external E-mail client is no appropriate solution, all should be handled within SugarCRM.

    Any thoughts?

    Kind regards,

    Sander van Hooft
