    Default Member Organizations Subpanel

    Hi,

    I'm trying to kill the Member Organizations subpanel. I get it, I can see why it's there, but our people, if they could would have sugar consist of 4 boxes and an enter button. This wouldn't be one of the four boxes and they'd probably still complain it was too hard to use.

    Anyways, I have created a layoutdefs.ext.php file and removed the Mass Update and Activities tabs but I can't get this one for some reason? Does it have an offbeat module name like Member_of or something?

    Thanks!

    Alright, no responses to the question of how do I remove the Member Organizations subpanel. This is either obvious or no one knows what to do. Here is the information I need:

    unset($layout_defs['Accounts']['subpanel_setup']['<WHAT DO I PUT HERE!!!!>']);

    Thanks!

    Hi

    Okay - so it's a few months since you posted... but I found your post after wanting to do the same thing. I've pieced together bits and pieces from other posts and worked out a way to do it, which seems to work fine. The direct answer to your question of "What do I put here" is simply "accounts" -- because the member organizations subpanel just includes a list of other accounts. The method I've used is upgrade-safe, and therefore better than editing the layoutdefs directly. Here are the notes I made:

    1. Make a php file (can be called anything) in custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Layoutdefs/ --- eg. custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Layoutdefs/RemoveSubpanels.php
    2. In the file, enter these lines:
    <?php
    //Remove member organizations subpanel:
    unset($layout_defs['Accounts']['subpanel_setup']['accounts']);
    ?>
    3. Make sure things are world writeable... maybe not as secure as possible, but ensures evething is working during test ---eg. chmod -R 777 ./
    (above line should be done on sugar root directory)
    4. Do a quick repair on the database. This adds the necessary lines in the custom/modules directories

    Cheers
