Recently I have noticed a lot of problems with the merge duplicates function of the CRM. Most of them have already been tracked as bugs and are still considered "New" which is kind of unnerving considering they are from early this year.

I just wanted to see if anyone has had any of the issues I have had and if anyone has come up with a solution or knows of a fix in a newer version of the software (I am using 4.5.1e (Build 1049)). Here is a copy of the bug submission from someone else who has had the same issues:

1) Multi-Select items (with multiple selections) never appear in the left hand column! Also they don't copy across when << or 'Set as primary' is pressed. (Unless only one item is selected in Multi-select list!)

2) 'Assigned to User' is always taken from the right hand column regardless of what is displayed or entered in the left hand column.

3) Multiple line text fields such as the text box 'Primary Address' only display the first line! Also, lines 2,3 etc do not copy across!

In addition to that, I have seen that if I set one of the entries set for merging to the primary other than the default one, the merge "<<" buttons to send the data over do not work for any field.

There are many problems with this function that are inhibiting us from getting some valuable work done. If anyone is having similar problems or has a solution, please reply. Otherwise, I will go ahead and submit a new bug for this newer issue soon and hope for the best.
