merge duplicates not working in 5.0.0b

I am unable to merge duplicates after import in 5.0.0b. I get a message after choosing two duplicate account files tellling me that i "must choose at least two accounts to merge".

I am running 5.0.0b community edition on a shared server at 1 and 1, mysql 5.0, php 5.2.4.

Im getting this error with Export too

Because I can't import contacts in 5.0.0b I am using 4.5 to do both the merge duplicates and import contacts.

I took out the assigned_to user field in listview via studio - everything working now.
