Merging all contacts into a record!

Can anyone tell me how to manage all contacts into a single record .Im new to sugar so im struggling a lot kindly help me out in this

Hi Kuske,

I need to separate certain contacts into a single record or a single file (e.g) 20 contacts into one file and another set of contacts into another file , here when i add a contact its adding into the same set of contacts which ive created before .I mean a set of contacts to one title and another set to another title.Please help me out in this.

What about adding a custom field for this separation?

Then you can search for values matching with this field.

If you define it as a dropdown you can add this dropdown field to the basic search and you will always get ony the selected records.
