Messages are sitting in my queue

I have created a campaign and a target list, when i try to send emails , they just sit under queue emails section. I have enabled my SMTP and when i send email using my account it sends perfectly , except when i try to send emails using a campaign. PLease help !

Have you correctly configured your scheduler to execute the job?

The SugarCRM scheduler runs the mail campaign and as such, you need to ensure it is set up properly. Under linux, this means adding an entry into the crontab and under windows, creating a batch file and setting up the windows task scheduler.

I was having the same problem - finally figured out what my issue was. I was running out of memory during the scheduler run, and it would mark it "In Progress", so it wouldn't resend. I tried to change the settings on my hosted site, but it was just easier to make the number of emails sent out less and the number of times the job ran more.
