Default Migrating from Netsuite to SugarCRM

We have a customer that wants to migrate from Netsuite and I'm researching the data export options.

Currently everything points to Netsuite giving no relational data export options ... unless you count a tool costing $4,000 as an "option". You can export Accounts and Contacts as flat .csv files with no relational data. As the customer has about 20,000 Accounts and a similar number of Contacts + associated Notes ... that's not really an option I'd care to contemplate ... we'd be as well getting it re-keyed.

Does anyone have experience of migrating from Netsuite that they can share here?

I believe netsuite runs on Oracle

Can you not do extracts from the underlying database?

Mike ... thanks ... currently exploring the netsuite web services as a method .... but there's a lot of anexdotal evidence that suggests that netsuite make it hard to impossible to migrate without great pain

    Hi Mr Salesagility,
For what its worth, I've used Talend on a number of migrations including one from Siebel....the learning curve is not too steep and its worth its weight in bytes to learn anyway. You have the advantage of sucking data from various sources and source types and it comes with Sugar connectors too! :-)

Hi Andrew, from what I understand, no third party tools can connect to the Netsuite db ..... but thanks for the suggestion ...

I know that NetSuite is an online business application that helps to an entire company including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This NetSuite company can help your NetSuite powered website to perform your expectations. It is the software that help to calculate the business and financial problems.

I know this thread is quite old now, but wanted to post an option in case anyone else needs this same migration. A migration tool, Starfish ETL, connects to the Netsuite API, and SugarCRM's. You could easily migrate data by doing some simple mappings using it. here's the site: NetSuite Data Migration with Starfish ETL
