Migrating from Windows to Linux

I am trying to move SugarCRM from Windows to Linux. Most of pages load without a problem but when I click on certain pages e.g. Home, the browser asks me to save the index.php file. I have updated my conf Apache file to include index.php and AcceptPathInfo On , yet no luck with it so far. Any ideas?

For me, this was specific to FireFox browser and clearing the history handled the problem. In my research online I discovered a thread in their forum from a few years ago where many, many users reported this behavior specific to FireFox browsers, but the resolution was inconsistent for different users.

I can't say I was completely happy with the result because I never really knew what caused it and I would have hoped that FireFox had fixed the problem since then, but my problems have not recurred since.

I'd try a different browser to see if you get the same problem. If you do NOT get the problem in the other browser try clearing recent FireFox history and see if the problem recurs. If it still recurs, search the web for that forum thread in their support forum and it gives lots of other things to try.

My impression of the cause was that the FireFox browser sees something different in the history for the application than it's currently getting. I can see a scenario where FireFox thinks there is a conflict between your old historical info from your Windows web server and the new info from the Linux server and gets confused.

Anyway, try it and see what happens.
