    Default Migration to a new server not working

    Hi I have sugar crm installed on testing environment running Apache version 2.2.10 (Unix) and PHP version 5.2.6

    I followed the instructions at http://www.sugarcrm.com/wiki/index.p...ver_to_another to migrate the installation to a new server.

    However all the changes I had made in the developer studio such as changes to layouts and fields did NOT migrate across.

    How do I get these to migrate across as well? Am I missing something? Where is this information stored?

    Hi Hub

    Make sure you had:
    1. exported the database from the old server and imported this into the new one;
    2. Edited the config.php to update the database credentials and site_url;
    3. The sugarcrm folder on the new server is writeable by user under which apache is running;

    Cheers

    hi, I think the problem is that I cannot copy the contents of the Cache and Custom folders

    I can't seem to access them via FTP either

    Any thoughts?
