Question Missing Buttons in "My Meetings" Module - SugarSuite 4.5.0f

    Hello all,

I am a new user running a trial instance of SugarSuite Open Source. My company is looking to put a CRM into production for an eight location, 100+/- salesperson retail enterprise.

    My installation is as follows:

    SugarCRM ver.: 4.5.0f
    Operating System: Windows 200 Server
    Web Server: IIS ver.5.0
    PHP ver.: 5.0.4
    MySQL ver.: 5.0

    My problem:
After going through the install (it works thanks to this forum and all the information available on the SugarCRM site), we have set up a couple of meetings for a couple of the administrative users, but nowhere can we find any way to "Accept", or Deny" or "tentatively Accept". Those buttons are completely missing.

This is a new install, there are no "working" backups to utilize.

I have now set up outgoing E-Mail functions, I have not been successful in getting inbound to work yet. Is this part (or all) of my problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unhappy Re: Missing Buttons in My Meetings Module

Am I missing something? Did I err in my posting somehow?

Why have I not received some kind of a response? Even a "Go away, kid, you bother me!" is better than being ignored.

We are quite serious in getting this up and running as a production system if it will fit our needs, but missing buttons do not fare well when trying to convince management that this is a product that will fill the bill. Is there anyone out there who can lend a suggestion or two as to how to repair this malfunction?

    Respectfully,

    Gerra

    Hi,

The Accept, Decline and Tentatively buttons that were used in Sugar pre 4.5 have disappeared in 4.5. Pre 4.5 they only partly worked, i.e. you could accept a meeting, but then it was not possible to change the value if needed.

I don't know which version of Sugar you are planing to go with, but if this item is a top priority, then I would suggest using the Outlook Plug-In say in the PRO version and just archive important mails across to Sugar and use Outlook as your Email calendar.

As far as setting up the Inbound & Outbound Email, take a look at this link:

If that doesn't help, drop me an Email

    Malcolm,

Thank you for the informative reply. Although we haven't yet tried it, we were already looking at the Outlook Plugin, as we have just recently gone to an out-sourced Exchange Server environment for our E-Mail, and will probably stay with that for at least a while. I had wanted to see if the Calendar in Sugar was anything that we could use, but will probably do something like you suggest to make it all come together.

As for the E-Mail set-up, I will look at the link you provided, and if it is as good as some of the rest of the help I have received while reading these forums, I should have it working in no time.

So as to try to comply with the spirit of the forums, I will say that this response did definitively answer my question about the buttons. It did, however, raise the follow-up question of "Is this an item for a future release?" This is not a question which requires an answer here, but one which I suspect will be answered in one of the other forums.

At any rate, Malcolm, I say again, thank you. I appreciate your help and willingness to share your knowledge. It has certainly helped me a great deal.
