Missing Subtab

I have a user who is missing the oppertunities subtab in their Accounts screen.

I have checked all the usual suspects (Roles and hidden modules) but I can't see how he has done this.

Any ideas where I canlook next?

I have had him reset his profile to no avail. The Oppertunities module tab is there and works fine.

Probably it is due a user preference.
Make a test: make a backup of the table user_preferences.
Truncate it and test again.
All preferences will reset to default, but just check if it is working again.
After that restore the data and feed back us.
