Mixing licenses

I am just wondering if I require 10 licenses, can I mix 5 professional and 5 enterprise for the same instance?

No this is not a possibility. You would have to have two separate instances of sugar set up. If you think about it, it would not make sense for sugar to allow two different license types in the same instance. Organizations would then only purchase a select number of pro licenses, and have mostly community.
