Default Modified Currency Symbol in Charts

    Hi,

I have modified the default currency symbol from $ to € following the threads found in the forum. Everything works fine, except in Charts. Instead of the € symbol expected an empty square is displayed.

One thread references a fix on currency symbol display in charts but I can't find the infromation.

    Any suggestions?

    Kind regards
    Michael

Since I had the same problem here my 5 cents of knowledge:

I support USD and EUR and the EUR sign was showing as a square as you said. I knew it was related to the way a browser encodes special characters so at first I thought it could be fixed by selecting a different encoding in the browser.
Selecting Western(ISO-8859-1) in fact showed the proper € character.

But even better: I manually patched the table currencies, in the field symbol with the HTML entity code € and that seems to solve the problem without bothering with the settings of each user browser.

HTML entities are sequences starting with & and ending in ; that are there just to do that: exactly show a specific character no matter what encoding a browser uses (to put it simply)

PS: refresh the Dashboard graphic panels to reveal the proper currency sign...

I've entered HTML Code in the currency setup and found out, it was working on all charts and all other fields for me...

i would have to have a look after it but it was something like &8364; or so.

    Will check on that.

Did you enter a new currency as for using Euro or were you working on the source code to change this?
