Modify the Lead Search Query!!

Hi.

I have created a few test custom fields for the Lead *Edit/View" and have inserted them into the basic/advanced Search pages as well.

However, when I do a search, i don;t simply want to do a match, I want to be able to do something like:
search for all where foo > 1000...

So, I'm trying to figure out how to accomplish this. Is there some kind of dropdown menu that I need to incorporate? Is there some file, where I need to modify the SQL for the query?

Pointers/Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hmmm....

Looking through the Leads.php file.... Not sure that this is the appropriate place, as any change here, would break on a sugar update. The soln that you pointed me to, might be ok.. but it's a 3rd party app...

So, still looking for the elusive solution!
