Default Module builder added field not showing

    Hello,

I am trying out the new sugar 6 and am stuck in the module buiilder.

When creating a package and adding a "basic" module to that package and then using "add field" to define a custom field, this new field is never shown in the field list. I see a new entry in "labels" but neither in the details edit layout nor in the "fields" overview my new field appears.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Tried with 6.01CE and 6.1BETA
    PHP Version 5.2.12

same here... don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Using the 6.0beta1 release. No js or PHP errors.

Thumbs down Re: Module builder added field not showing

switched back to 5.5.1 or whatever the latest 5 branch is...

Click "Edit Labels", which shows the freshly added field and label, then click "Save and Deploy". The field now displays on the edit fields screen.

Imagine something like this happens in 6. Crap usability!

check your permissions and custom/modulebuilder/ vardef files of your module to see if the field gets defined in the file.

Hey thanks for your help... I looked through vardefs.php and my custom field info was not there. using CE 5.5.4 on Windows with ZendServer. Tried deploying, publishing, and viewing my module in studio. Fields to show on the Labels page so I guess they are cached or in the db.

Nothing in the php error logs. Some missing yui js stuff in the apache error log. PHP Version 5.2.13 which is apparently compatible.

I am getting js errors when attempting to use the breadcrumbs inside module builder (sometimes), but I doubt if this is causing all of my problems... Save buttons on Labels and Fields work fine. : (

There is so much potential here...

    Got it!

    Thanks to http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showt...678#post150563

I figured out it was Zend Optimizer+ on my Zend Server for Windows platform. Turned it off and I'm styling again.

I had the exact same problem and upon investigating my PHP installation, I remembered that I recently swapped out my stock php install with the php-zend install for Knowledge tree. Once I found the zend-php ini file for the Zend Optimizer I disabled it, restarted apache and all was well!
I can now save new fields in Module Builder.

    Thanks!

I am also having the same problem. I am adding custom fields in the Targets module but they are not showing in the fields list. It just says -None-. I can actually add the new fields to display on the Targets pages, just can't click on the fields to edit them after they are created. I am not using Zend. I tried doing the Save & Deploy on labels as suggested but this did not work for me. I am running in developer mode, so I'm not sure if it's a cache issue.
