Module Duplication

How difficult would it be to duplicate a module? I am looking to take the quotes module and use it as a template to create a purchase order module. I am not looking to have it relate to the products module or really anything other than the contact and account modules, but I would like it to have the same functionality in that users would be able to add new line items, generating the sub and grand total, PO number, as well as the ability to print or email as a PDF. I can pretty much do everything pretty easily except for the line items fields... I know that these dynamically changing fields are javascript based and I do not have much experience with javascript. So, what would be the best way to do this? Thanks!

You should really start here and develop an understanding of the SUgarCRM architecture.

Copying modules is possible, but may not be the best way to approach the issue.

I am looking to get this done as soon as possible and do not have a problem paying for it. Please let me know what it would cost to do this. Like I said, I am looking to duplicate the Quotes module so that it has all of the same functionality, but has its own table in the database. Once it is duplicated, and depending on cost, I can customize the module from there.
