Default Module Loader - No Mode Specified

I just downloaded and installed the integrated stack for Windows for Sugar 4.5.1.e.

This is installed on an old Windows 2003 server.

I downloaded the forums module, uploaded it to Sugar, but when I try to install it I get "no mode specified".

I found a similar post that said the fix was to change the permissions on the directory structure, which I did. I added "Everybody" to the root install directory and gave it full control (yeah, this is just an internal demo site for now).

    Any suggestions?

Hi mbaucsoft, do you mean the Bitrock Installer when you refer to "integrated stack for Windows for Sugar 4.5.1.e"?

We want to make sure we understand exactly how you installed Sugar 451e.

    Thanks,

Yes. It was the BitRock installer.

The forums package from SugarForge was: forumsModule-OS-4.5.1.zip

    Hi mbaucsoft,

I tried your scenario on Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition and the install went through successfully. I used both IE and Firefox. Which browser did you use? The IE with Windows 2003 Server usually has more restrictions. I manually modified the settings.

    Thanks,
    Franklin

Well, the basic install of SugarCRM went fine with BitRock. The problem was trying to install the forums module.

I was using IE, but can try installing FireFox, if you think that will help.

I was running IE on the machine where SugarCRM was installed. I added 127.0.0.1 to the local intranet zone and tried to set every thing to "enable" that I could find in IE.

Also, as I noted in my original post, I set the directory/file permissions to all everyone full control.

I switched to FireFox and have been able to install modules. Thanks for the tip.

I am having the same problem 'No mode specified' however this message appears when I try to uninstall the module builder. I am having a problem using the module builder, when I create a new module it is displaying an error message 'Error retrieving record. You may not be authorized to view this record.' when clicking 'Define Module' then goes to the login again. Any help available would be appreciated. I am running 4.5.1c module builder and SugarCRM 4.5.1d.
