Module Loader not loading page

Hello all,

I've been working the last few days to get the Community Edition (5.0.0f) up and running. Everything has been working fine except today, I attempted to go to 'Module Loader' and the page never loads. I think it actually ends up hanging the httpd process as I end up having to kill it to get Sugar to work again. I've looked through the forums and noticed this might be an issue with cURL. However, I'm not going through a proxy and am not on a shared hosting. This is running from an in-house server. Nothing is in the apache logs regarding this and the SugarCRM log is empty.

I finally got to the point of sniffing the traffic to and from the box while attempting to load this page. I see that DNS gets queried for depot.sugarcrm.com. I get a valid response and then it starts doing the SSL handshake. It appears fine until it gets to this point where it looks like it just keeps trying and trying.
I tried going to the above URL and get the following:

Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Could this be the issue? If so, does this mean this is down on your site or should it be failing over and just continuing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So, everyone except me is having a problem with Sugar connecting to its own server, for whatever reason, to install modules. I would also be open to installing modules some other way if someone would either explain how, or point me in the direction.

a few days ago when i installed SUGARCRM 5.0.0f i was having the same issue, the module loader was taking about 30 minuts to open, so i looked up for it in forums an i did tow things:

1 - went to ADmin -> Sugar Updates (also 10 mins to open, but it did open) -> and unchecked the two boxes Send Anonymous Usage Statistics and Automatically Check For Updates.

2 - Looked up for a firewall or content web filter, there were both in my case. So I made a rule to let sugar pass free througtout the firewall and put sugar site on the trustable sites in web filter.

I have turned off both the features in the Admin panel, but it is still taking forever to load (an doesn't load).

I took the box home and tried it from a different IP/firewall and it worked fine. So, it's something in the firewall on my network that is blocking *something*, but I have no idea what. Are there certain things that need to be open? The box has access to the outside. It shouldn't need any special privileges to the Net...

So you did install on a remote server? Must be because otherwise there wouldn't be a firewall between your machine and the server...
Check whether you chose the correct url for your server, sometimes this leads to problems (in config.php)

I installed it on a machine on our network, so it's a local machine. I've sniffed the traffic coming out of the SugarCRM box and when you go to 'Module Builder', it attempts to go to 70.42.242.51:443 which is https://depot.sugarcrm.com/. That replies with a 404 not found. No idea if that's part of the issue or what.

Anyway, I've double checked the config.php and everything looks fine.
