Default Module Loader results in an error

    I just installed SugarCRM 6.2

I get the following error when I try to open my Module Loader.

Warning: dir(cache/upload//upgrades) [function.dir]: failed to open dir: Permission denied in /home/lovinli3/public_html/sugar/include/dir_inc.php on line 165

Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /home/lovinli3/public_html/sugar/include/dir_inc.php on line 166

I noticed the dir has a '//' which I usually don't see. Is this an error?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    UPDATE:

So I was poking around, and I notice there are A LOT of errors around that say file not found or permission denied. I look them up in my FTP client (dreamweaver or filezilla) and I am even denied access there!

So I guess that's the probelm. So I'll have to fix permissions...but I need some guidance on how to fix it if even my FTP clients aren't given permission to these folders/files.

    Another update:

I went into the control panel's file manager and changed permissions and NOW IT WORKS!

But...is there a way to set all new cache writes to a certain permission? I don't want to have to do this for every single time SugarCRM writes a cache file with the wrong permission!
