Module Problem

I have installed the GA 5.0 and have discovered a problem. I had created a package and 3 modules. When I installed the new modules (I am using Group Tabs) It created an new tab called other and a few blank entries under the sales main tab. The first problem is these new entries are all blank.

I tried to remove them and can't find anywhere to remove them from the tabs. Then I decided to remove my new module and deleted the module. Then I deleted the new package. Now the 3 modules are still in place and I have no way to remove them from the system.

Can I safely delete the newly created directories from my sugar instance? How do I remove the blank entries from the tabs and best question why did this happen in the first place.

The issue of blank entries related to a missed language entry. Check in your new package for that.
To remove the new package you must go to the module loader and unistall it.

The issue of blank entries related to a missed language entry. Check in your new package for that.
To remove the new package you must go to the module loader and unistall it.

The issue I am having is it doesn't appear in the module loader to uninstall. I tried to0 manually remove the module. It is not allowing deletion due to permissions error.

Yep, I'm having that same problem. I went into module builder and deleted the package. But the module still shows up in studio and the module loader. I guess you have to remove the modules before the package. But I don't know how to do that now that the package is gone. Heck, I'm not so sure I know how to do that when there is a package there.

I'm having the same problem too. Each time I removed a module, the tab is still remains and it goes blank. So right now I have 4 tabs with no label. Anyone know how to fix this?
I tried to move the tabs position many times, and it becomes worse. Now I can't change the tabs position. When I click save button, it was saved but the navigation tab doesn't change.

I developped the module in english mode (no problem) and when I connect in French my module's names in tabs are blank,
I look in modules/my_custom_module/language/fr_FR.lang.php i have all the traduction and in particulary the 'LBL_MODULE_NAME' and 'LBL_MODULE_TITLE'.

So I don't understand why i have a blanks in french.

I found the solution. The blank tabs appear because I uninstall the module, while the module still displayed in the navigation bar. So I create the module again using the same name and the same key. Then, the blank module will be fixed. After that, I go to the navigation tab settings and remove the tab. After that, I can uninstall the module safely.

So before you uninstall any module, make sure you have removed it from the navigation tab
