Modules versions

Hello,

I am fairly new to SugarCE i just want to know if it is possible to install a module which was released for an earlier version into a new version of SugarCE.

in other words install version 5.0 module on version 6.2.1

You can try it but in many (most?) cases this will not work since there were many changes in the system so an older module might not be compatible with newer releases.
1) You should try it in a test environment which could be removed / newly installed without loss if it does not work.
2) You may have to modify the manifest.php file coming with a package (=> 'acceptable_sugar_versions'). This defines in which releases the package can be installed (and Sugar won't install it if you try it in 6.* if this is not allowed in that configuration file).
