Hello everyone, first time poster.
Quick back-story: I'm working with a small company and recently replaced the previous IT Guy. Zero documentation for anything left behind, can't contact previous IT guy (ugly breakup).
One of the systems this company uses is SugarCRM. We had it hosted on our own hosting space on-line but due to the previous IT Guy leaving and allegedly stealing clients, it was decided to migrate Sugar from on-line to our in-house server so it could only be accessed from inside our building.
What I did was to copy all the files in the /sugar folder from the on-line host and exported the complete database.
I then uploaded the files to our in-house server and imported the database. The boss had a look at the in-house installation, browsed through our clients and such and said "yup, it's all there". So we deleted the on-line original (database and files).
All good so far, then someone noticed that the previous history of our clients wasn't displaying. There used to be a box underneath the client's information which showed all the previous interactions we had had with that particular clients.
Note that on our installation we have the tab "Accounts" re-named as "Clients" from the Admin section.
As far as I can tell with my limited knowledge of Sugar is that it ought to be there as the database was copied and all the files (which include settings and config files) are there as well.
If I open the database manually in Excel and run a search then I can see multiple listings of a specific client that we know should be showing a history as we have dealt with them repeatedly. However the information is not in an easy-to-read format so I can't just copy and type in the information manually into the description box.
We are using Sugar Professional 6.1.0 (Build 5389). Both the previous on-line host and our in-house host is a basic LAMP server setup. We recently paid $2,300 for the licenses to the vendor here in Australia and we tried asking them for help but they just said "sorry, you're not hosted with us, can't help you".
Any suggestions on what happened or how to get that history to show again?
