We are attempting to move from Microsoft Business contact manager 2007 (MSBCM) Was curious if anybody else had tried this and with what level of success. Suggestions best ways to move the data.

First piece of advice would be to get yourself some type of MSSQL Server management utility, i.e. SQL Enterprise Manager or the like. It'll be invaluable as it will allow you to browse the data in its raw format.
Secondly, study the relationships within the database structure. I've done BCM conversions to other products before and this is usually the most important factor.
Third, you'll need to create a tool or scripts that will import the data into the Sugar database for you, which also means you'll need to understand the underlying structure. In theory, you could do a lot of it via the SOAP API, but my personal preference is to stay away from it for this type of work because it is simply way too slow.
Lastly, allow yourself adequate time. Don't try to do this the night before the deadline. You'll need some time to massage the data in some cases and of course, to actually insert it into Sugar's database.
