Default Moving SugarCRM on a laptop

If I install SugarCRM on a laptop and just want to make a quick demo database to show a client how can I do this then move the laptop to a different location and different ISP and still have it work. I am using Windows XP with FastStack Windows Installer for 5.5.0R with SQL Server. I have downloaded it on the laptop before i used 127.0.0.1 which i thought would look into the harddrive and not matter where I bring it but it still does not work when I move it between home and work. Any help woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

    Sigh ... don't use 5.5 ... it's not production ready.

When you type localhost into your browser ... what happens?

I didn't even know that actually. I can take care of that later though this is just a quick prototype.

When I type 'localhost' into my browser address bard it says 'failed to connect' this instance of Sugar is one that I installed at home and now cannot get it to work over my work internet connection???
