Hello all wise forum folks. I have been trying to get our e-mail functioning for three weeks with no luck.
I first set up "personal" boxes, but they have the limitation of not being able to automatically archive the messages in SugarCRM, which is critical for us.
So then I set up everyone in their own "group." But if anyone checks their message on a smart phone, it doesn't show up in Sugar.
Also, it seems like I (the admin) can see all the messages attached to the clients record, but it seems like others can't? For instance, if Judy is on a team of just Judy, then no one else can see her messages attached to the record?
Also in the group boxes, sorting by date is glitchy - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - once I get to the second screen, often the dates are all out of order.
Our e-mail provider doesn't have a function to delete messages off the server after a certain date, so right now, everything's just piling up on the server . . .
I'm wondering if it would be better to use a third party e-mail client and link it to Sugar? We use a lot of HTML templates that all of our staff needs access to, plus we really appreciate being able to assign e-mails to tasks, cases, etc.
I'm getting desperate - this is really affecting our ability to function!
Thanks for your wisdom about how to manage the Sugar e-mail client - I feel like no matter hard I work at it, I can't get it up and running!
Warmly, Jeanette
