Multi Selects don't convert from lead to account

I've seen several threads on the conversion of custom records from Leads to Accounts. In the end it appears that the Sugar team has come up with a solution that pretty much works by creating the same custom field in both the Leads and Accounts modules.

However, if you create a multi selection (aka multienum) the conversion display shows that custom field as a drop down and NOT a multi select. The data is then lost. Has anyone else noticed this? Are there updates pending in the Professional version to address this? Are there interim fixes one could implement?

I have exactly the same problem. So the problem still exists!
