Multiple Projects Tabs - named differently

I am very new to SugarCRM, and we are looking to use it within our company. We are a microfilming and document scanning bureau, and want to use it for job tracking.

Is it possible to have multiple projects tabs, each differently named. i.e. "Document Scanning", "Film Scanning", "Microfilming" etc.

You can use a module Contact and add to it 3 subpanels "Document Scanning", "Film Scanning", "Microfilming";

Want I want is to utilize 3 (or more) projects tabs (as listed above). Now at the minute I can make the Main tabs, all using the projects module. This, however, lists all jobs that are input, no matter what type of project. I wish to have a project tab named "document scanning" that only lists document scanning jobs, and one called "film scanning" that only displays film scanning jobs when clicked, and so on.

Basically, I want 3 or more totally independent projects tabs.

Hope this makes things clearer, if not I shall try writing it again.

Does the "Document Scanning", "Film Scanning", "Microfilming" will be relate to Project?
Will it be the Projects with different status?

Ah, having looked at this a bit more, I see we cant do it exactly like required, so another approach would be this:

A top level tab called Current Jobs, with 3 (or more) sub tabs for each "work type" (doc scanning, film scanning, microfilming etc).

Each sub tab should have all the settings of the default "Projects" module, but be totally independant of each other, so that when the tab for "film scanning" is clicked only the film scanning jobs are shown.

I don't think we will be using the "Status" part at all.

I suppose at the basic level we want to use multiple projects modules at the same time, with each one to be independent and not cross reference with the others.


I've typed a bit more up, maybe a little easier to see what i'm looking to do.

Example


When we open SugarCRM (Community Edition) and login, we get a TOP LEVEL TAB called "Current Jobs", you can select from the sub tabs: Document Scanning, Film Scanning, Microfilming, Book Scanning (as in image 1)


When "Document Scanning" is selected you are taken to the screen as shown in image 2. Which lists out all projects that were input as Document Scanning jobs.

When "Film Scanning" is selected you are taken to the screen as shown in image 3. Which lists out all projects that were input as Film Scanning jobs.


Note how the listed projects are different (at the minute, I can set the tabs OK, but they all lead to the same page, listing all current jobs).

I want each tab to lead to its own list of jobs.

Thank you for the screenshots.

The simple way is create new 3 modules with using ModuleBuilder (Admin->ModuleBuilder).
And then grouping tabs.
