multiple users on a call or meeting

How do I assign or invite multiple users to a call.
It looks like I can only assign 1 user. Can I invite some other users ?
What about contacts, could I invite multiple contacts ?

You can invite as many users / leads / contacts as you want. Open a new call / meeting (the full form) and you will see a search form at the bottom of the screen. Search for the invitees and press add (it's far to the right so you may need to scroll).
If you have your email configured correctly you can now send invitations if you want. That's it.
