    Question My Top Open Opportunities

I am having problems getting Opportunities to flow to the My Top Open Opportunities Dashlet. The Opportunitie is is the Opportunities list but no matter what Filters I select I can not get many of the Opportunities to show up in the Dashlet...

I have created several Sales Opportunitie catagories in addition to the default ones.

Any guidance you can provide is welcome!!

    Thanks!!

I am using SugarCRM 4.5 Version that Comes with Trix Box....

By "categories," do you mean "Type" or "Sales Stage" or ??

Are the ones that are not displayed in a category that you defined, rather than a default one?

I'm having that problem... we truncated the sales_stage_dom list to 4 or 5 items and the only ones that show up now in the "Top opportunities" list are the ones that use the "predefined" sales stages that Sugar came with... anything else isn't listed.

Is there a way to fix this?

Ok, so, my work around was... down in one of the directories here (this is a Windows install):

    c:\Program Files\sugarcrm-5.0.0\htdocs\sugarcrm\custom\include\language\en_u s.lang.php

edit that file. Delete the "Globals" section for the sales_stage_dom that you edited. Save. Refresh the page in sugar, the default list reappears. Then...

Use the ones that already exist and just change the names with the little edit button. It doesn't change the "flag" name (or whatever that is), but it will change the way it appears in the drop-down. Sugar only recognizes the default "flag" names, so, leave those intact. If you need fewer than 8-9 sales stages, then, delete the ones that are left over.

The only downside to this is that there is an inconsistent implementation of using the list names versus the flag names. So, for example, if you go into the dashboard (once you've done it as described above) The "pipeline by sales stage" displays correctly, however, the "All opportunities by lead source by outcome" report shows the flag names as does the "outcome by month" report.

Meh... I just keep telling my guys to repeat to themselves "It was free... it was free... it was free..."
