MySQL L2 server (pls help)

i am making a game server and i got all the precoded files from a trusy source

i installed it (no errors) work perfectly untill i come to start the server

it sayes in the manual
Step 1
Copy server folder to c:/

Step 2
Edit your host file in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
to read 127.0.0.1 l2authd.lineage2.com ( nothing else)

Step 3
Check you have java runtime installed
Download Java software from Sun Microsystems

Step 4
Now run the server
1. start.bat
2. startgameserver.bat
3. startLoginServer.bat



step 4 is the place where i get stuck

4.1 i start the server with start.bat file (all good here)

4.2 startgameserver.bat i click on it and all the stuff starts getting ready to work and then an error pops out at the bottom saying server terminated abnormaly '

'server terminated '

'press any key to continiu ...'


if i go and fint an error it sayes 'server unable to retrieve connection :
acces denied to user 'root'@'localhost' <using password : YES>'
java.sql.sqlexception : acces denied to user 'root'@'localhost' <using password : YES>
can any1 help me out

to start this machine ???

it is for a game called Lineage 2 and im using " Titan Creations InterLude Server Pack [v4.0] " to run it

i have chaneged the host to what he sayed to change it to and just cant find the cause of the problem

im also using windows wista home premium (that also may be a problem in my knowings)

www.l2j.lt is the server making web site also www.l2jserver.com (1st one is in lithuanian language only )


and its not a game its a game server

We've seen that issue on this forum before. I've heard that it usually requires doing a clean Windows install and then installing the game server.

egg, help me, wtf is a game server? And why here? Did I miss something?

I heard it's the coolest new thing in the industry like "cloud computing" so I'm guessing this is an early release for the 7.0 version that's coming down the pipeline. It'll change the way crm is done!
