Folks we jave sugar 4.51 installed using linux (Red Hat) and mysql. the web server and db server are separate. The system was running well but recently the DB server has needed a reboot almost daily. The memory consumption on both servers is fine. However, the MySQL (DB server) shows consistently shown 800 open tables every time the system has stopped responding and needed to be rebooted.
Does anyone know if this is a limitation in MySQL? Why would the tables not be closing out properly or is this a normal number of open tables?
FYI: There are approximately 100 users on the system.
Please provide any thoughts on what the issue could be (Linux config, MySQL config, Sugar bug etc)
BTW: I cannot update to version 5 as there is too much custom code (not upgrade safe) to make the migration.
